According to Osho, the compulsion to communicate—even our subtlest thoughts—is the ego seeking verification of its existence from others. Dependent on praise and threatened by insult, the ego lives at the periphery, trying to impress and conform. Realization ends this need: through witnessing, certainty arises from within, silence deepens, and communication ceases to be self-validation.
When you don't feel real inside, you keep talking (even in your head) so others will tell you that you exist.
