According to Osho, a sannyasin’s freedom has two halves: first, freedom from all borrowed identities—nation, creed, ideology—which brings lightness and joy; then, freedom for something—meditation, love, or creative expression. If the second is missed, sadness and drift arise. Freedom is only an opportunity; complete it by choosing a creative, meditative direction and taking responsibility for your life.
First break your chains, then use your freedom to meditate, love, or create—otherwise you’ll feel lost.
