According to Osho, fear of freedom arises from childhood conditioning to depend on others and imagined protectors, so independence feels unsafe. This fear breeds projections and escape. Instead, look directly, minutely, at fear with awareness; it shrinks and disappears. Embracing responsibility dissolves psychological chains, matures you, and crystallizes your being. Then freedom without fear becomes a wordless benediction you can rejoice in.
We’re scared of being free because we’re used to being looked after; but if we calmly face the fear, it melts, and taking responsibility lets us enjoy freedom.
