According to Osho, freedom and surrender are not contradictory: surrender means dissolving the ego—the false sense of separateness—so you become one with existence. This oneness is freedom. You are not surrendering to a person or even a God; surrender is simply dropping the separating wall. Freedom is not of the ego but from it; when you are not, freedom is.
