According to Osho, you fear freedom because real freedom makes you utterly responsible for every thought, act, and feeling—leaving no one to blame. Dependence on parents, religion, state and authority feels safer, creating invisible layers of slavery. Once you see this conditioning, you can drop it in a single stroke and stand alone, accepting responsibility as the price—and the power—of freedom.
Freedom is scary because it means choosing for yourself and not blaming anyone else.
