According to Osho, deep sadness during darshan arises from resistance—hiding, cleverness, and withholding surrender from the master and the work. Where openness brings bliss, self-protection creates separation that naturally becomes sadness. His remedy is to drop all smartness, be innocent and utterly open—speak honestly, ask for guidance, and participate—so transformation can happen and the sadness dissolves.
You feel sad because you’re hiding and resisting; be open and honest, and it turns into joy.
