According to Osho, there is only one all-pervading Soul (Divine consciousness); individuality appears because that one light shines through countless instruments: subtle bodies (causal seeds of desires) and gross bodies. With ordinary death only the gross body falls, so the many seem to continue; with moksha the subtle body also dissolves, and the drop-like 'me' merges back into the oceanic One.
Like one electricity lighting many bulbs, we look many because of our bodies and subtle habits; when both drop, only the one power remains.
