According to Osho, there is no method to enter the void; any method becomes another attachment. The void arises naturally when you see, with intensity, the futility of words, thought, and scriptures. This clear seeing is a 'negative method': stop pedaling, do not interfere, and allow the mind's momentum to unwind. As with fleeing a fire, direct perception, not technique, releases you into thought-free, effortless openness.
You don’t need a trick; just realize thinking can’t help here, stop adding more thoughts, and let your busy mind slow down on its own.

‘You ask, “What is the method to enter the void?”’ There cannot be a method to enter the void. And if you go by a method, at least the method will remain with you—then the void will not happen. For then how will you drop the method? You will end up asking for a method to drop the method. Once you catch hold of a method, you’ll ask, “Now how do I leave this?” It happens: someone says, “Chant Ram, Ram; Ram, Ram—you’ll enter the void.” The chant grips you, and then you say, “How do I drop this Ram, Ram now? Won't the experience itself become a doctrine?
The experience can only be communicated to others negatively. I cannot say what it is, but I can say what it is not. Language can be a vehicle to express what it is not. When I say language cannot express it, I am still expressing it. When I say no doctrine about it is possible, that is my doctrine. But this is negative. I am not asserting something; I am denying something. The no can be said; the yes cannot be said. The yes must be realized. If there is a lingering belief in knowledge, it will become a hindrance in achieving the void, in achieving meditation. In 1969 followers of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi invited Osho to talk to them. This was the first occasion on which Osho addressed a western audience, and the first time he talked publicly at length in English. Through technique, through method, you cannot go beyond mind. When you leave all methods, all techniques, you transcend mind. So meditation itself is not a method. Osho, is there any practical process for being in the realm of existence beyond thoughts, in the void?
The way to thin them out is non-cooperation. Right now we are their makers—that is, we are the ones maintaining them. When we sit idle, some thought or other is running, because without our cooperation they cannot run. Withdraw your cooperation from whatever thoughts are running, and do nothing else; regard just this as samayik, as meditation. If all thoughts dissolve, you will feel no ego and no person within. You will know only being—only being will be known, in which the distinction “I am an individual” or “I am the whole” will not be felt. Only pure being will remain—pure existence. In truth, because of the thoughts accumulated upon that pure existence, we appear to be a person. This sense that I am “A,” you are “B,” you are “C”—the A, B, C we have pasted on—is our thought-power. We commonly say, “I will become liberated”—this is not quite…
Glimpses are good because that's how one learns and reaches closer to the truth, that's how one comes to feel what truth is. Then truth becomes a great desire, a burning desire in oneself. Methods can create thirst but they can never quench. So use all methods that you can learn but always remembering that truth is beyond methods. It cannot be within methods because it cannot be caused by anything. It is uncaused. You have not to do anything to achieve it. You have just to be... it is already showering on you. Not for a single moment have you missed it. It is impossible to miss it because it is our very nature. So don't get too attached to methods otherwise they will become the barriers. Use them but with the awareness that this is just a device, is arbitrary.
