Be very humble and open, let the energy pour in, and when it’s more than you can hold it turns into a fire that rises by itself and moves you without effort.

Beloved Osho, once you said to me that I am energy and awareness. I use this as a key. The other day, while speaking about the disciple touching the master's feet, you said energy always moves downwards, like water. I have felt energy showering down, but I have also felt energy soaring upwards, like a flame. Can you help me understand this?
Prem Shunyo, life has so many aspects, that it is almost impossible to contain all those aspects in one statement. When I said that energy always moves downwards, like water, it was in a particular context. The context was the disciple touching the feet of the master. If he wants to get the master's energy he has to be humble, and available to the downgoing energy. Just as, in the East, for centuries the disciple has been touching the feet of the master, the master has been touching the head of the disciple with his hands. This way the disciple gets energy on his own accord, from the feet; and from the master's hands, compassion. And a circle starts happening. If the disciple is not holding himself back, then he will feel what Amrito was calling "orgasm," energy showering on the disciple from the master; but it is energy coming…
Often when you are talking to us, waves of energy come to us opening our hearts and bringing tears of gratitude. You have said that you fill us whenever we are open, but often this phenomenon happens to many people at the same time, like shaktipat. Why do you not give us this wonderful experience more often?
When you feel trembling coming to you, cooperate with it. Help the trembling to grow more, because the more you tremble, the more is the possibility for the infinite energy to descend in you, because your own inner energy becomes dynamic. When you are dynamic, you can meet the dynamic force; when you are static, you cannot meet the dynamic force. When you tremble, energy is created within you. Energy attracts more energy. Become a vessel -- empty, filled, overflowing. When you feel now it is too much, unbearable, the fall is too much and you cannot bear it any more, bow down to the earth, kiss the earth and remain silent there as if you are pouring the energy into the earth. Take from the sky; give back to the earth. You become just a medium in between. Bow down completely; become empty again. When you feel now you…
[A visitor says: : I feel very close to you. I've been on the spiritual path for about twenty years... I've had many masters. When I first read the first few words of 'My Way: The Way of the White Clouds' I knew it was for me!] (a chuckle) Good, very good. One has to learn from many sources, and one should never be closed to any possibility. One should trust in life itself, and in many forms you will be helped. All the forms are of the divine, so never make any conflict between masters. One comes across many masters, and each master has to function in his role in your growth, then he departs. But he prepares you for another; it is a chain. Howsoever diverse the paths may look, they lead to the same goal.
Osho, how are rapid breathing and asking “Who am I?” related to the awakening of kundalini and the process of piercing the chakras?
Controlled descent of energy through shaktipat Ordinarily, man has two ways to deliver such blows; exceptionally there is a third, which we call shaktipat—the astral route. It requires a medium. If another person is present as a helper, your inner intensity can increase. In that case the other person does nothing; his presence is enough. He becomes a medium. Infinite energy is all around. We put a lightning rod atop a house so that if lightning strikes it will go to ground; even without a rod, lightning can strike—but then the whole house may be shattered. With the rod it passes. Lightning has been falling from the beginning; only recently did we think of the rod. Likewise, infinite energies surround man; they can be used for his spiritual growth—if there is a medium. You yourself can become a medium, but at first this can be dangerous. The descent may be…
Osho, you have explained that either the energy rises from you and meets the Divine, or the Divine’s energy descends and merges in you. The first is the rising of kundalini, and the second is the receiving of God’s grace. Further, you have said that when the energy asleep within meets the cosmic energy, there is an explosion. So, for this explosion or for samadhi, is the union of kundalini awakening and grace necessary, or are the flowering of kundalini up to the sahasrara and the attainment of grace one and the same?
Your kundalini is your sleeping energy. It marks your boundary near the sexual center and near the brain center. That is why we continually feel that though we might drop identification with the whole body, we cannot drop identification with our head, with our face. It is not very hard for me to consider that perhaps this hand is not me; but if I look into a mirror and try to think, “This face is not me,” it becomes very difficult—that is the frontier. Therefore a man may be ready to lose everything, but he is not ready to lose his intellect. Someone asked Socrates, “Would you prefer to be a dissatisfied Socrates or a satisfied pig?” Because Socrates was speaking of contentment; he was saying: contentment is the supreme wealth. So someone asked him, “Would you prefer to be a satisfied pig or a dissatisfied Socrates?” And Socrates said,…
