According to Osho, belief in God is unnecessary—and often a disguise—but mere humanistic compassion is not enough either. The essential shift is from believing to knowing. Only through direct knowing of the divine does the wellspring of authentic compassion open; without that realization, what appears compassionate remains partial, conditioned, or ego-based.
Being good isn’t enough; real compassion blossoms when you directly know the divine within, not just believe or disbelieve.
