According to Osho, both Jesus and Buddha are compassionate, but Buddha is the Great Compassionate whose help liberates you from the cycle of birth and death. Jesus heals bodies and meets immediate needs—the pleasant (preya)—yet its effects fade. Buddha grants inner sight and awakening—the truly good (shreya)—a life that cannot be lost. Thus his compassion works to the very end, transforming the soul rather than patching the body.
Jesus helps with short-term fixes to the body, while Buddha helps you wake up inside forever so birth and death stop.
