According to Osho, desire itself breeds suffering—no matter if it targets wealth, virtue, religion, heaven, or even God. The object doesn’t purify the craving; it only refines the same discontented mind. Spiritual ambition is still ambition. Freedom comes not by superior objects of wanting, but by seeing desire’s mechanism and resting in contentment and awareness beyond wanting.
Wanting anything—even holy things—keeps you unhappy; peace comes when you stop chasing and are okay right now.
