According to Osho, these passions are not merely shadows of time but of desire. Time itself is the shadow of desire—two sides of one coin. When desire surges, lust appears; when it is blocked, anger erupts; when it succeeds, attachment (and greed) coils around it. Uproot the seed—discontent and wanting—and both time and these by-products dissolve.
All these troubles come from wanting more; if wanting stops, the feeling of time and these troubles fade.
