According to Osho, self-knowledge hasn’t appeared because your ‘understanding’ is second‑hand and driven by the subtle urge to get something. You believed Ashtavakra too quickly, turned truth into a convenient idea, and keep secretly checking, “Has it happened yet?” This greed blocks meditation and realization. When every impulse to obtain falls away and the seeing becomes your own, not borrowed words, you recognize it is already attained.
You only know it in your head while still wanting a prize; when wanting stops and you see for yourself, you discover it was already here.
