According to Osho, true prayer does not beg for favors; the highest is to ask nothing at all—receive the pearl in silence, as a lover, not a beggar. If asking persists, ask only for God: for union, acceptance, shelter, the grace to surrender. Do not seek heaven, boons, or outcomes; seeking things diminishes you and closes the door.
Either be silent in love before God, or, if you must ask, ask only to be with God—not for things.
