When a man and woman stay calm and loving long enough, their energies connect like a circuit and can appear as a gentle glow around them.

Osho, in one discourse you said that during prolonged lovemaking a halo of light is formed between woman and man. What is this, how is it formed, and what is its use? Kindly answer these questions on the basis of the electrical differences of the first four bodies. What is the form of the above phenomenon in solitary meditation?
For the householder, deep sexual fulfillment is sexual freedom This state gives very deep contentment. In this sense I spoke. It has great utility for yoga, great utility for the seeker. If a seeker can have such a union available, his need for sex becomes very small. And for as many days as the need for sex is absent, his inner journey becomes that much easier. Once the inner journey begins and lovemaking with the inner woman starts, then the outer woman becomes pointless and the outer man becomes pointless. For the householder, this is what brahmacharya (celibacy) can mean. Do you follow? For the householder, brahmacharya can mean that his lovemaking is so fulfilling that a span of years opens in which the moments of celibacy appear. And once even a single such span opens and the inner journey begins, the outer need dissolves. I am speaking of the…Read the full discourse →
In one of your discourses you had said that a prolonged intercourse leads to the formation of an electrical circuit between the man and the woman. What is this circuit, how is it formed and what are its uses in relation to the first four bodies? Also, insofar as meditation alone is concerned, what is the form of the above-mentioned happening?
In fact, those who had observed Buddha very keenly stated that on observing him with one-pointed attention Buddha could not be seen: only the tree remained and the aura of the energy. His physical body disappeared. Now, for instance, if you observe me keenly I too will disappear and only the chair will remain. So those who saw him deeply claimed that Buddha could not be seen, but those who did not claimed that he could be seen. However, the statement of the former was more authentic. For five hundred years the word of those who said that Buddha was never visible, and that there was only the tree and the empty place beneath it, was honored. But this concept worked only as long as there were people who could see deeply. When this caliber of people began to diminish it became difficult to worship the tree alone without Buddha.…Read the full discourse →
But, no matter what the astronomical figure may be, it is mathematically possible to calculate the difference, because both are within the range of human cognition; the difference can be ascertained. But it is impossible to assess the differential between the ecstasy of orgasm and the eternal bliss of samadhi. The sexual meeting of two temporal beings is frantic; in uniting with the Universal one loses oneself like a drop in the ocean. There is no way to compare them, no unit to measure the magnitude of this union. Would one hanker after sex after touching this bliss? Would one even think of this fleeting pleasure after one has attained the eternal ocean? A glimpse of the eternal convinces man that sensual pleasure is meaningless, that by contrast it is madness.Read the full discourse →
Consider your essence as light rays from center to center up the vertebrae, and so rises "livingness" in you.
OR IN THE SPACES BETWEEN, FEEL THIS AS LIGHTNING. FEEL THE COSMOS AS A TRANSLUCENT EVER-LIVING PRESENCE. In India, because of this, we have developed a particular yoga which we call SAHAJ YOGA. SAHAJ means spontaneous, easy, natural. Always remember SAHAJ. If you feel any technique spontaneously coming to you, if you feel more affinity with it, if you feel better with it -- more healthy, more alive, more at home -- then that is the method for you. Move with it; you can trust it. Don't create unnecessary problems. And the inner mechanism is very complex. If you do something which is too much for you, you may destroy many things. So it is better to move with something which feels harmonious to you. The third technique: <q>"FEEL THE COSMOS AS A TRANSLUCENT EVER-LIVING PRESENCE."</q> This again is concerned with light: "FEEL THE COSMOS AS A TRANSLUCENT EVER-LIVING PRESENCE."…Read the full discourse →
Osho, yesterday you said not to throw anger, hatred and the like onto others. But when one goes into meditation and the repressed sexual energy leaps out, doesn’t it require another person for its catharsis? And when this sexual energy erupts like a fierce primordial storm, neither control nor witnessing seems to work—it demands expression. Yet all our moral values are tied to sex. So if the existing husband or wife does not have enough depth for such expression, should the seeker look for a suitable partner? And won’t that create many entanglements?
And semen is not some fixed treasure stored within you, such that if some goes out, the stock diminishes. It is being produced every moment: as the body breathes, eats, exercises, semen is produced. Modern medical research is quite different, even opposite: the more a man uses semen, the longer his virility lasts. The one who, out of fear, stops sexual use early loses semen production early, because when you use semen, the whole body engages again in producing it. When you do not use it, the body need not engage; slowly the capacity to produce declines. This may look paradoxical: those who have more sex can remain capable longer; those who have less, empty out sooner. Thus in the West doctors advise that if intercourse can continue even into seventy, eighty, ninety, the chance of living longer increases—the body remains fresh. Old semen becomes stale and inert; with the…Read the full discourse →
