According to Osho, both madman and devotee appear mad, yet their centers differ: the madman's head collapses when logic hits life's wild, paradoxical reality, producing breakdown and closure; the devotee's madness flows from the heart, trusting, loving, embracing life's contradictions as complementaries. One is a failure of intellect; the other is a surrender to aliveness, dissolving rigid either/or into a living both/and.
