According to Osho, external temple-going is pointless when sought as a route to God; the real temple is meditation—a temple without walls. God is everywhere; clinging to temples or demolishing them are both illusions. Live in meditation and every place is holy, including temples; without meditation, carrying the body to a shrine changes nothing. Let life itself become the pilgrimage.
Sit quietly and find God inside; then everywhere you go is a temple, so walking to a special building isn’t needed.
