According to Osho, being a Sufi begins in willful seeking and culminates in surrender: you strive until effort fails, the seeker (ego) collapses, and in that utter defeat grace (baraka, prasad) descends. Thus, half the journey is effort, the other half surrender; will flowers into receptivity, and blessing finds you.
You try your best to find God, fail completely, let go, and then grace finds you.
