According to Osho, suffering persists because you cling to it; it nourishes the ego and gives a false sense of importance, struggle, and busyness. Freedom comes by seeing this mechanism and dropping the profit you take from pain—desire, comparison, martyrdom. Relax into awareness, allow joy and laughter to dissolve the tense 'I'; when ego loosens, suffering fades without effort.
Notice how you hold on to pain to feel important, then gently let it go and choose laughter and awareness so the tight ‘me’ softens and the hurt passes.
