According to Osho, a truly religious person cannot suffer; sorrow is the shadow of falseness. If a ‘religious’ person suffers, he harbors hidden sin—fear, calculation, ego. And if a ‘sinner’ seems happy, you’re misreading: joy arises from virtues like courage, simplicity, or rebelliousness within him, not from sin. Religion and sin are inner states, not mere acts.
If someone called ‘good’ is miserable, they’re not truthful inside; if a ‘bad’ person is happy, it’s from brave, simple qualities—not from being bad.
