According to Osho, a true master attracts few because he doesn’t satisfy cravings; he dismantles the ego, demands the death of your dreams, pleasures and pains, and uproots you so the divine can arise. Only the truly thirsty and courageous will accept this inner death. False masters gratify desires with promises and tricks, so crowds seeking toys and blessings flock to them.
Real masters ask you to let go of your ego and comforts, so only a few brave people choose them; fake masters hand out favors and fun, so many people follow.
