According to Osho, a true master tests the disciple continuously, moment to moment, through ordinary, silent situations—not with announced exams. The testing probes alertness, innocence, and the capacity to see beyond purpose and projections. You rarely know it's happening; only after inner maturity dawns do you recognize you’ve passed. If you notice the test, the master isn’t skillful.
Being with a true master is like a secret, nonstop quiz to see if you’re awake and not inventing meanings—and you usually don’t know you’re being quizzed.
