According to Osho, 'tradition' begins only after the living truth has departed; it is a dead groove. So acharyas and monks of earlier Tirthankaras may persist, but they carry memory, not realization—their very presence proclaims the knower is gone. When a new Tirthankara arises, a fresh vision appears; authentic seekers gather there, while others cling to lifeless ruts, leaving no living continuity.
Old followers may still perform rituals, but the real wisdom has moved on, so you must go to the living teacher, not the leftovers.
