According to Osho, in true witnessing no one is thinking at all; thought and witnessing are mutually exclusive. When thought ceases, the former ‘thinker’ remains only as pure awareness—seeing (darshan) without commentary. If thinking starts, witnessing is lost; when witnessing flowers, the mind’s waves subside and one abides as the inner being.
When you really just watch, the mind stops talking—there’s nobody thinking, only quiet seeing.
