What is the significance of darshan?

True darshan is the moment when the seer and the seen merge, dissolving opposites and awakening the silent wisdom of nonduality within you.

— Osho
According to Osho, true darshan is the inner ‘twelve o’clock’ when seer and seen meet, opposites dissolve, and intellect falls silent. It is a vision of nonduality that equalizes pleasure and pain, success and failure, life and death. In the presence of the awakened one, this seeing transmits wordlessly, awakening equanimity and steadfast wisdom (sthitaprajna).

Darshan means seeing so deeply and quietly that you and what you see feel like one, and thinking stops.
