According to Osho, women’s practical relation to enlightenment has historically been sacrificial: without them, no man would have awakened, because women pour their energy into nurturing, protecting, and preparing the space for realization—often leaving no time for their own quest. Enlightenment itself is “ultimate death”: the end of bondage to body, desire, jealousy—a merging with the whole, a pure breeze.
Women often spend their energy helping others wake up, while real enlightenment means the ‘me’ disappears into everything.
