According to Osho, the obstruction is self-forgetfulness: consciousness itself chooses to forget its own nature amid a flood of impressions. Remembrance and forgetfulness are inseparable polarities; because we forget, memory functions, yet this same forgetting veils the divine within. When consciousness turns to self-remembering, it becomes divine; when it forgets, it remains ordinary.
We miss the God inside because we keep forgetting who we really are; remember yourself and He is revealed.
