According to Osho, the only real fear is of time itself—because time is death, the sense of life irretrievably passing. What we call fear of death is actually anxiety about unlived life. When you live each moment totally, the fear vanishes; then even death is welcomed as a new mystery. Meditation, by centering you in the present, dissolves time-anxiety into timeless presence.
We’re scared because time feels like it’s running out; meditation helps you be fully here now so that fear fades.
