Chaos

You said that nature abhors disorder, and disorder settles itself automatically in due time. Then why has the world always been in chaos and disorder?

The animal is too much visible. Where is God? Has anybody ever seen God? -- nobody. Because it is not a question of your seeing or not seeing. God is invisibility, the very unknowability, the very incomprehensibility. Those who have attained they also say they have not seen, and they have attained! Because God cannot be an object. It is the deepest depth of your own being. How can you see it? The shore that you have left is in the outside world, and the shore that you are approaching is in the inside world. The shore that you have left was objective; the shore that you are approaching is subjective. It is the very subjectivity of your being. You cannot objectify it. You cannot see it. Orderly. Orderly. Everything was in perfect order. He created chaos. This Gandhi is a troublesome man—chaotic, anarchic. In fact, in the world... but how long will this anarchy last? Discernment will create anarchy only so long as belief is creating disorder. The day there are many people in the world with discernment—there will be no need for anarchy. Discernment will create its own order.

As yet, the order of discernment has not arisen in the world. The order that exists is of non-discernment—an order of ignorance. Until an order of knowledge comes into being, there will be rebellion. And I say: there should be; otherwise it is very dangerous if it does not happen. The condition of our country is this... We have been enduring poverty for four thousand, three thousand years! But we say it is the fruit of our karma. We did bad deeds in a past life; we are reaping their fruits, therefore we are poor. We have been repeating this for three thousand years. We could have eliminated poverty in our land long ago, but we have not been able to—and we will not be able to, so long as we keep repeating this. “There is order.
