According to Osho, politics has prestige because people still crave masters, fear standing alone, and remain dominated by inner animality, so brute force impresses them. A politician’s authority rests on weapons and the power to harm, which people obey. Until humanity matures—valuing music, sannyas, and inner strength over bayonets—politics will attract the small, ambitious, and violent and command respect.
Politics seems important because many people are scared to stand on their own, so they admire loud, forceful power instead of quiet inner strength.
