Why do some spiritual teachers become system-makers while others do not?

Systems can guide you into the unknown, but true liberation comes when you are ready to dismantle those maps and embrace the mystery of existence.

— Osho
According to Osho, teachers become system-makers or system-destroyers as two complementary ways to help seekers. Systems offer maps that create trust, reduce doubt, and supply the energy to move into the unknown; they are skillful devices, not ultimate truth. System-destroyers dismantle maps to prevent dependence and push ready souls into direct encounter with the unknown. Both approaches are right, serving different needs and stages.

Some guides give training wheels so you can start riding; others take them off so you learn to balance—both help at the right time.
