According to Osho, people believe life without politics is impossible because the human mind itself is political—driven by ambition, comparison, and fear. From childhood we’re conditioned to compete, dominate, and “be somebody,” so even religion becomes covert power-play. Seeing survival as rivalry and goals as scarce, we can’t imagine life beyond ambition. Only by stepping out of mind—dropping desire and competition—does a non-political way of living appear.
We think politics is necessary because we’re taught to always compete and be first; if we drop that craving, the need for politics fades.
