When both Guru and Govind stand before me, whose feet should I touch?

The true Guru points you to Govind, guiding you to transcend the teacher and embrace the divine. In gratitude, touch the Guru's feet, but remember, he is merely a finger pointing to the moon.

— Osho
According to Osho, a true Guru instantly points you to Govind, never comes in the way. In that very pointing, the disciple’s natural gratitude bows at the Guru’s feet—‘blessed is the Guru’—and God rejoices, not offended. Touch the Guru in gratitude, then pass beyond him; the master is only a finger to the moon, to be left once God is held.

Thank the teacher who shows you God, but don’t cling—go to God when He’s here.
