According to Osho, compassion is too pure to anchor you at the periphery; it triggers grace—the upward pull—making you weightless and ready to leave the body. To return to the periphery, you need a conscious 'paperweight'—some earthy, material element like food or even gossip—to restore gravitation and keep you engaged in the world without losing the inner height.
Compassion makes you so light you float up; to come back to everyday life, add a small grounding thing like food or friendly chatter.
