According to Osho, a large, devoted following provokes the establishment’s jealousy—really fear of losing influence—especially when youth resonate heart-to-heart. Those who cannot reach people feel exposed, so they invent prohibitions, slander, or legal barriers to contain the magnetism of trust and decisiveness. Paradoxically, such jealous resistance amplifies attention and growth, turning suppression into momentum and widening the movement.
When lots of people love a teacher, others who can’t inspire people feel jealous and scared, try to stop him, and that stopping makes even more people curious.
