According to Osho, greed is not our nature but a sign of misused consciousness: forgetting our freedom to choose happiness, we try to fill an inner emptiness with “more” — things, power, experiences. Because no object can satisfy a being avoiding being, the hunger is endless. Choose happiness and awareness, and greed withers; meditation then flowers naturally as the fragrance of contentment.
Greed comes from feeling empty inside; when you choose to be happy and aware, the need for more fades.
