According to Osho, true selfishness is to drop the ‘self’—the ego that expects, compares, and is always ready to be hurt. Egoic ‘selfishness’ only breeds misery and endless frustration, like a bottomless begging bowl. When the ego dissolves, expectations fall away, and ordinary life becomes fulfilling; gratitude, contentment, and bliss arise naturally. Real self-interest is egolessness.
Let go of the “me, me, me” inside, and life starts feeling good without trying.
