According to Osho, if you try to be hypnotized yet keep yourself conscious—by repeating images or staring—you won’t drop into the unconscious; the process stalls. First, simply relax and watch passively until awareness switches off; you’ll return refreshed. Later, you can carry a ‘small consciousness’ into the unconscious to witness and release repressed material, and ultimately dissolve the barrier entirely, bringing deep relief and freedom.
If you stay awake and keep thinking, you can’t sink into hypnosis; first learn to relax and ‘switch off,’ then gradually bring a gentle awareness inside to heal old stuff.
