What exactly is prayer?

Prayer is not an act but a state of being, a silent harmony with existence that transcends the self and dissolves the illusion of separation.

— Osho
According to Osho, prayer is not something you do but something you become: a rebirth into silence and attunement with the whole of existence. It is a silent dialogue that transcends words and, ultimately, dissolves the I–Thou divide. Indefinable and subjective like love, prayer is a state in which you exist within it, vibrating in harmony with the total.

Prayer means becoming very quiet and loving so you feel one with everything, like a drop joining the ocean.
