What does it mean to come to the master and go back to the world?

To come to the master is to merge your flame with his, for in true union, there is no distance between you and the world.

— Osho
According to Osho, once you truly find a master, you and the master are inwardly one; the master’s presence accompanies you everywhere. ‘Coming to the master’ is drinking from his well until your flame harmonizes with his. If in the world you feel separate or masterless, you haven’t yet found him—union ends all distance.

When you really connect with a true teacher, their wisdom stays inside you, so even in everyday life you’re never without them.
