According to Osho, the virgin birth of Jesus is a mythic, poetic image, not a newspaper fact. Ancients spoke in metaphors and pictorial language to convey sacred truths, not historical reports. To insist on literalism misses the point; such stories direct us toward the inner essence rather than biology or dates. The question is not ‘what happened,’ but ‘what truth is being pointed to’ within our own consciousness.
