According to Osho, liberation doesn’t require dissolving the Beloved; it requires dissolving the I. In devotion, God is the goal, not a means - the devotee disappears and only the Beloved remains. On other paths, God may be a method that is finally transcended. The devotee’s freedom happens unasked, through love’s total surrender.
If you love God, you let your ego melt away, not the Beloved; on other paths, even the idea of God can be let go.
