According to Osho, missing the perfect jewel depends entirely on your consciousness. When recognition arises from your own direct seeing, even a faint taste, it becomes impossible to miss and nothing can distract you. But if your 'knowing' is borrowed—from hearsay, tradition, or others' reverence—you will inevitably miss. Real recognition demands awakening in you; otherwise, like the crowds around Jesus or Buddha, unconsciousness blinds and bypasses the treasure.
You only find the real treasure when you see it yourself; if you just believe others, you’ll walk right past it.
