How can man, as a part of the Divine, not bear the Whole if the Divine is more radiant than infinite suns?

To embrace the Whole, you must dissolve your separate self; only then can you contain the Infinite that flows like an ocean into your being.

— Osho
According to Osho, you cannot "bear" the Whole while clinging to a separate self. The Divine arrives like an ocean; a drop survives only by dissolving. If you insist on remaining intact, you must take it in gradual "doses" through a guru who gently dismantles the ego, brick by brick, until, emptied, you can contain the Infinite.

You can face God’s overwhelming light only by melting your small self—if you can’t, a wise guide helps you melt slowly.
