According to Osho, true consciousness is total—aware of everything happening here and now—but in that very clarity fear cannot grip you. If fear of being watched arises, the mind has already left the present, imagining consequences; the thread of awareness is snapped. You can be conscious of the act and the situation, but not simultaneously be caught by fear.
You can notice what you’re doing and all around you, but the moment you feel scared of being seen, you’ve slipped from real awareness into worry.
