According to Osho, celibacy or non-use doesn’t free you because sex is not a peripheral sense but the root energy pervading every cell. Lust persists as long as you identify with the body and cling to life. Suppression only feeds it; freedom comes through witnessing, disidentifying from the body-mind, and letting the life-urge dissolve.
Not using sex for years won’t free you, because desire fills your whole body and mind; it fades only when you know you’re not the body and stop clinging to life.
