According to Osho, people aren’t listening because there are no true “people,” only crowds—mobs, crowds, and organizations. The mob-mind sinks into unconsciousness and shirks responsibility; labels (Hindu, Christian, communist) replace individuality. From such darkness a living message can’t be heard. Only an alert, responsible individual, stepping outside collective identities, can truly listen.
When you just follow the crowd and its labels, your mind falls asleep, so you can’t hear truth; wake up as an individual to listen.
