According to Osho, the line of Hindu incarnations does not mark an evolutionary ladder of ever-higher beings; each avatar is a descent of the same divine consciousness, manifesting through different dimensions according to the openness of that life and the needs of the time. Some, like Krishna, are total openings; others are partial. They herald possibilities for the collective, like first blossoms before spring fully blooms.
Each avatar is like a window letting in the same sun; some windows open wider, but the sun never changes or improves over time.
