According to Osho, sannyas is a skillful means—not an absolute requirement for enlightenment. Truth must be tailored to the seeker: for some, sannyas serves as a catalytic commitment that shatters secondhand beliefs and starts authentic inquiry; for others, it’s unnecessary. Devices differ, the work is one: move beyond beliefs into silent awareness, where realization flowers and all labels drop.
Sannyas is like training wheels—useful for some to start moving toward silence, but not needed to reach the goal.
